Southern Sweet Tea

by Sweet Tea & Taters on January 24, 2012

Well, this is just embarrassing.  The name of my blog is “Sweet Tea & Taters,” and as I look through my archives, I have noticed a gapping hole in my recipes!

SWEET TEA!

Oh my word!  How have I not written about sweet tea??  How UN-HOSPITABLE of me!!

Sweet Tea is a staple in the south.  Every time I land in Dallas, the first thing I want is a sweet tea from McAlistair’s Deli.  In the south, you can buy sweet tea by the gallon at any legitimate restaurant.  Sweet tea is such a hospitable drink, as it always served at every social gathering!  Whether a party, a holiday, a shower, a church fellowship, a luncheon, or a housewarming party, sweet tea is always included.

So, brew up a pitcher of tea and invite a friend over.  Before you know it, you will be chatting, laughing, and having yourself a good ole’ time!
