Dipped Peeps

by Sweet Tea & Taters on April 2, 2012

Well, I’m off to the great state of South Carolina today with my hubby!  We are going down there for a few days to visit with his folks but don’t worry, I will still be posting Easter recipes this week!  This first one is so fun to do with your kids!  We don’t have children but my husband and I had a great time dipping these Peeps in chocolate and sprinkles.

Just melt some chocolate (I used both semi-sweet and white chocolate) in two microwave safe bowls for 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each time interval.  Then, let the Peeps go for a little swim.

After they have been dipped, roll them in some spring-time sprinkles and put them on a sheet of parchment paper to dry.

In the process, my husband seemed to get attached to this little guy…

Every time I snapped a picture of the flock, his eyes seemed to follow the camera.  He was a bit of a camera hog.  We nicknamed him Mr. Blue Jay.

See what I mean?  He’s the leader of the pack.

See all you peeps tomorrow for more Easter fun!
